Abstract
A conveyor belt jointing device with a generally H-shaped cross-section comprising a central portion (1) forming the crossbar of the H, and two pairs of flanges (2, 2'; 3, 3') connected to respective sides of the central portion (1) and integral therewith. The jointing device comprises two separate reinforcing elements (4, 4'). The reinforcing elements consist of stacked plies of cables made of metal or a synthetic material and having little or no inherent stretchability, the ply cables being arranged at angles of around 45.degree. to the longitudinal direction and around 90.degree. to the cables in the ply located immediately above or below.
