Abstract

In a packaging machine 2 with a movable part 27, which can be moved toward a packaging 26 or a product to be packaged, and a carrier movable with the part 27 and connected to the part 27, the part 27 and/or the carrier consists of a magnesium alloy 28, for example Mg Ag3 Se2 Zr1 or Mg A19 Zn1. A magnesium alloy 28 has low mass, low moment of inertia, high capability to conduct heat, high heat capacity and good stiffness.
