Abstract
Methods for the continuous production of compressed board are disclosed including drying lignocellulosic fibrous material, gluing the lignocellulosic fibrous material, forming a mat, and pre-compressing the mat by controllably adding steam to the mat in an amount such that the temperature of the mat is increased to between about 60 and 90.degree. C.
