Abstract
A substantially non-paraffin combustible candle composition consists essentially of at least 30 parts by weight of stearic acid, at least 5 parts by weight of vegetable-derived wax having a melting point of at least 50.degree. C., 0-50 parts by weight of at least one vegetable oil, 0 to 10 parts by weight of at least one fragrance and 0 to 1 part by weight of at least one oxidation inhibitor.
