Abstract
A method and device for measuring the angle of inclination on laterally inclined bends and their use. Additional sensors are required for detecting the angle of inclination of a laterally inclined bend in the case of existing vehicle dynamics stability controllers. The novel method and device are intended to permit the angle of inclination to be detected with already existing sensors. In this method and in this device, the angle of inclination of the bend is calculated from the rotation rate, the lateral acceleration and the vehicle speed. This method and the device are suitable for vehicle dynamics stability controllers which measure the angle of inclination of a laterally inclined bend without additional sensors and incorporate said angle in their calculations.
