The alarm apparatus for monitoring activity in a vehicle includes a microphone being adapted to be disposed in a passenger compartment of a vehicle; and also includes a transmitter being connected to the microphone and being adapted to be disposed in the vehicle for transmitting signals; and further includes a remote receiver/transmitter being adapted to be carried by a user for receiving signals from the transmitter.
