Abstract
The invention relates to a method for the preparation of an enantiomerically pure imidazolyl compound of the general formula ##STR1## wherein: n is 0 or 1; m is 1 or 2; R.sub.1 is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl; and C* denotes a chiral center; as well as its pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt. The invention further relates to a method of racemization and to a new acid addition salt of this formula I compound and D-pyroglutamic acid and to the hydrochloride monohydrate of the compound of formula I.
