Abstract
This invention relates to an elbow prosthesis comprising a humeral component forming a first, substantially cylindrical articulating surface and an ulnar component forming a second articulating surface adapted to be arranged around a part of this first articulating surface and to pivot about a longitudinal axis of this first articulating surface. The ulnar component is provided with the means for mounting a locking element forming a third articulating surface, extending the second articulating surface and adapted to be disposed around the first articulating surface, these second and third articulating surfaces extending together, in transverse section, over more than 180.degree. about the first articulating surface.
