Abstract
Hydrogel-forming polymers which have: (i) a Saline Flow Conductivity of at least 40.times.10.sup.-7 cm.sup.3 s/g; (ii) an AUL 0.7 psi (4826.5 Pa) of at least 20 g/g; and (iii) a Frangibility Index of at least 60%, are useful in hygienic articles such as incontinence briefs for adults and diapers for infants.
