Abstract
Novel pyrrolo[3,2-d]pyrimidine derivatives of the following general formula ##STR1## are disclosed. These compounds are useful in the treatment of bacterial infections such as Toxoplasmosis gondii and Pneumocystis carinii, and various types of cancer, through their action on dihydrofolate reductase and thymidylate syndmase enzymes. Methods of inhibiting these enzymes, by administration of these compounds, are also disclosed.
