Abstract
A glass ceramics composition for recording disk substrate consists essentially, expressed in terms of weight percent on the oxide basis, of from 65 to 80 wt % of SiO.sub.2, from 3 to 15 wt % of Al.sub.2 O.sub.3, from 3 to 15 wt % of Li.sub.2 O, from 0.2 to 5 wt % of P.sub.2 O.sub.5, and from 2.5 to 12 wt % of ZrO.sub.2.
