Abstract
Compounds and methods of preparing compounds represented by structural formula (I): ##STR1## wherein X represents any suitable counter-anion; R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 independently represent hydrogen, C.sub.1-6 alkoxy or nitro; R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 each independently represents hydrogen, hydroxy, halo, C.sub.1-6 alkyl, C.sub.2-6 alkenyl or C.sub.1-6 alkoxy; and R.sup.7, R.sup.8, R.sup.9 and R.sup.10 each independently represents hydrogen, hydroxy, halo, C.sub.1-6 alkyl, C.sub.2-6 alkenyl or C.sub.1-6 alkoxy. Compounds represented by structural formula (I) are useful in treating or preventing free radical-associated diseases or conditions in mammals.
