Abstract

A composition of a dielectric for a plasma display panel in use for fabricating a barrier rib having a low sintering temperature, a low coefficient of thermal expansion, a low dielectric constant and a high withstand voltage. The composition of a dielectric for a plasma display panel comprising a parents glass powder containing 20.about.40 wt % of ZnO, 15.about.30 wt % of SiO.sub.2, 10.about.20 wt % of B.sub.2 O.sub.3, 0.about.30 wt % of PbO, 0.about.20 wt % of MgO, 1.about.10 wt % of CaO, 1.about.10 wt % of Al.sub.2 O.sub.3, 0.about.10 wt % of K.sub.2 O, 0.about.8 wt % of Na.sub.2 O, 0.about.5 wt % of Li.sub.2 O, 0.about.2 wt % of Sb.sub.2 O.sub.3, and 0.about.2 wt % of As.sub.2 O.sub.3.
