A lead free polyvinyl chloride polymer composition for a thin-walled automotive cable insulation and sheath, presenting abrasion strength and thermal resistance at 105.degree. C., characterized in that it consists of a mixture of: a polyvinyl chloride with stabilizing agents, 9 to 11 carbon atom linear co-ester type plasticizers; calcium carbonate load and at least one phenol type antioxidant agent with an oxidized polyethylene type compound.
