Abstract

Filter system designed to remove loudspeaker-generated sound signals from a microphone signal, comprising a stereo sampling unit for sampling the interference-bearing microphone signal as well as the interfering loudspeaker signal in time (t) to generate samples x(t) and z(t) for provision to a computation unit which derives the transfer function H(f,T) effective between the loudspeaker and the microphone and applies that function to a filter unit which acts to restore the interference-free microphone signal y(t) from x(t), z(t) and H(f,T).
