Abstract

The invention relates to an ionic compound corresponding to the formula [R.sup.1 X.sup.1 (Z.sup.1)--Q.sup.- --X.sup.2 (Z.sup.2)--R.sup.2 ].sub.m M.sup.m+ in which M.sup.m+ is a cation of valency m, each of the groups X.sup.i is S.dbd.Z.sup.3, S.dbd.Z.sup.4, P--R.sup.3 or P--R.sup.4 ; Q is N, CR.sup.5, CCN or CSO.sub.2 R.sup.5, each of the groups Z.sup.i is .dbd.O, .dbd.NC.ident.N, .dbd.C(C.ident.N).sub.2, .dbd.NS (.dbd.Z).sub.2 R.sup.6 or .dbd.C[S(.dbd.Z).sub.2 R.sup.6 ].sub.2, each of the groups R.sup.i, is Y, YO--, YS--, Y.sub.2 N-- or F, Y represents a monovalent organic radical or alternatively Y is a repeating unit of a polymeric frame. The compounds are useful for producing ion conducting materials or electrolytes, as catalysts and for doping polymers.
