Abstract
A method and apparatus are described for utilizing fuels, residues and waste by gasification in a free-flowing stream under normal or increased pressure at temperatures higher than 900.degree. C., preferably between 1100 and 1600.degree. C., with a gasifying medium containing free oxygen, in which the fuels, residues and waste are completely vaporized by the direct or indirect supply of heat and then fed in vapor form to a gasification reactor.
