Abstract
The present invention proposes a method for management of a database of a visitor location register in a telecommunication network, wherein said database has a predetermined storage capacity and is adapted to contain a plurality of data sets, each data set containing subscriber data associated to an individual subscriber of said telecommunication network or of another telecommunication network, said individual subscribers having at least once registered within a geographical area of said telecommunication network corresponding to said visitor location register (VLR), said method comprising the step of: selecting (S24) subscriber data of said database to be deleted from said database, wherein said selection being based on parts of said subscriber data on the basis of which a roaming behavior of the associated subscriber can be determined. Also, the present invention proposes accordingly adapted VLR and HLR devices.
