Phone system for a digital subscriber line integrated call waiting service are provided. A representative phone system includes a digital subscriber line routing system operable to check an application server for accessibility of a called party digital subscriber line associated with a called party. The application server is coupled to the internet and is operable to prompt the called party to answer the incoming call over the called party digital subscriber line when the called party digital subscriber line is accessible. The voice call is connected upon the called party choosing to answer the incoming call over the called party digital subscriber line.
