Abstract
The present invention relates generally to a method for the prophylaxis and treatment of parasitic infections in animals and birds. More particularly, the present invention contemplates a method for the prophylaxis and treatment of Plasmodium infection in mammals and the prophylaxis and treatment of disease conditions caused or exacerbated by Plasmodium. Even more particularly, the present invention is directed to a method for the prophylaxis and treatment of malaria including ameliorating the clinical effects of malaria and agents useful for same.
