Abstract
The invention is directed to rubber mixtures comprising rubber, fillers, optionally further rubber auxiliaries and at least one organosilane of the general formula I: R.sup.1R.sup.2R.sup.3SiR.sup.4--SH (I) wherein: R.sup.1 is methyl or ethyl, R.sup.2 is methoxy, ethoxy or --O--(Y--O).sub.m--X where Y=a branched or unbranched, saturated or unsaturated divalent hydrocarbon group, X is a C1- to C9-alkyl group and m=1-40, R.sup.3 is methyl, ethyl or R.sup.2, and R.sup.4 is a branched or unbranched, saturated or unsaturated, aliphatic, aromatic or mixed aliphatic/aromatic divalent C.sub.1-C.sub.12 hydrocarbon group.The rubber mixtures according to the invention are prepared by mixing rubber, filler, optionally further rubber auxiliaries and at least one organosilane of the general formula I. The rubber mixtures can be used for the production of shaped articles.
