Abstract

A printer cartridge is provided having a cartridge body removably mountable to a printer cradle unit, a printing fluid storage supported by the cartridge body, a printhead mounted to the cartridge body and a power and data interface for communicating a capacity of the printing fluid storage to a print controller of the cradle unit and receiving print data from the print controller for printing at a rate determined by the print controller in accordance with the communicated capacity. The printhead has a plurality of printing fluid ejection nozzles in fluid communication with the printing fluid storage and is configured to eject printing fluid from the nozzles at the received rate.
