Abstract
System and method for creating a split terminal (T+.SIGMA.E.sub.n) for accessing a service (S). The system comprises a base terminal (T), equipped with a management device (PA.sub.0) for executing a split terminal procedure (UES), and a plurality of equipments (E.sub.n) connected in series to said base terminal (T), said equipments (E.sub.n) respectively being each equipped with at least one management device (PA.sub.n) for executing said split terminal procedure (UES). The system can be applied for setting up a secured connection for exchanging data between a base terminal (T) and a number of communicating equipments (E.sub.n).
