Abstract
A hair dye composition containing an organic compound having not more than 4 carbon atoms, which has both of a —SH group and a —NH2 group and does not have a —COOH group, and also containing at least one member selected from aromatic compounds in which given substituents are each attached to meta positions of a mononuclear benzene ring structure and α-naphthol as a coupler of an oxidation dye intermediate, in which the blending amount of each member as the coupler is in a range from 0.01 to 0.5% by mass. An oxidation hair dye composition containing the hair dye composition. Wherein the hair dye composition and the oxidation hair dye composition are capable of preventing a change in the color tone of the hair dyeing even during long-term storage are provided.
