A method for making a coated article includes the steps of: providing a substrate; forming a copper-molybdenum target by a hot isostatic pressing process using copper powder and molybdenum powder; forming a copper-molybdenum alloy layer on the substrate by vacuum sputtering using the copper-molybdenum target.
