Abstract

A torque wrench comprising:

a hollow housing comprising an outer wall having a proximal end and a distal end, and an inner wall having a proximal end and a distal end, the inner wall being spaced from the outer wall so as to provide a gap therebetween, the proximal end of the outer wall being connected to the proximal end of the inner wall, and the distal end of the outer wall being configured to engage a workpiece housing; anda mechanical multiplier for disposition within the inner wall of the hollow housing, the mechanical multiplier comprising a torque input shaft and a torque output shaft, the mechanical multiplier being connected to the inner wall of the hollow housing by a loose, non-binding connection, and the torque output shaft being configured to engage a workpiece fastener.
