Abstract

A naphthopyran compound represented by the formula (I) wherein: n₁, n₂, p, m and q represent an integer; R₁, R₂ and R₄, represent a group selected from halogen, —R_a, —OH, —OR_a, —SH, —SR_a, —NH₂, —NR_aR_a1, —NR_bR_c, —CO—R_a, —CO₂R_a1, —OC(O)—R_d, —X—(R_e)—Y, linear or branched (C₁-C₁₈) perfluoroalkyl group, wherein R_a, R_a1, R_b, R_c, X, Y, R_e, and R_d are as defined in the description; Z represents a group selected from CO, CS, SO, SO₂, CO₂, C(O)S, CS₂, C(O)NH, C(O)NR_a, C(S)NH, C(S)NR_a and C═NR_a; R₃ represents a group selected from halogen, —R_a, linear or branched (C_1-18) perfluoroalkyl group —OH, —OR_a, —SH, —SR_a, —NH₂, and —NR_aR_a1; R₆ represents a group selected from —R_a which may be optionally substituted, linear or branched (C_1-18) perfluoroalkyl, cycloalkyl, heterocycloalkyl, aryl, and heteroaryl, which may be optionally substituted; R₅ represents a group selected from: halogen, —R_a, linear or branched (C_1-18) perfluoroalkyl group, —OH, —OR_a, —SH, —SR_a, —NH₂, —NR_aR_a1, —CO—R_a, —O—C(O)—R_a and —CO₂R_a1; or when q is equal to 2, then two R₅ together represents further a group —O—(CH₂)_q1—O— wherein q1 represents an integer comprised from 1 to 3 inclusive.
