Abstract
A knife (1) for machining spot welding electrodes (2) includes one or more cutting edges (3) for machining the spot welding electrodes (2) and one or more diverting devices (7) for diverting removed spot welding electrode material that occurs during the cutting process away from the area of the knife (1). The knife (1) has a cutting edge (3) and an associated diversion device (7). The cutting edge (3) and the associated diversion device (7) are formed in one piece. The knife (1) can be a component of an electrode cutting tool. A cap cutter that includes the knife (1) and/or the electrode cutting tool is also disclosed.
