Abstract
A wet paper web transfer belt for transferring a wet paper web includes a wet paper web contacting surface for carrying the wet paper web. The wet paper web contacting surface is constituted by a resin layer. The wet paper web contacting surface includes, in the width direction, sheet edge regions for carrying the edge parts of the wet paper web and a center region for carrying the center vicinity of the wet paper web. The arithmetic average roughness Ra1 (μm) of the wet paper web contacting surface in the sheet edge regions is smaller than the arithmetic average roughness Ra2 (μm) of the wet paper web contacting surface in the center region, and prescribed roughness related equations are fulfilled.
