Abstract
The ride (1) has primary and secondary transport systems (4, 9), where the secondary system is provided for onward transport and/or for braking of a car (3) during malfunction of the primary system. The primary system has an anti-rollback device to prevent a backward movement in an event of malfunction. The primary system has an endless conveyor chain (5), which is arranged along a transport section of a travel path (2). The secondary system is arranged parallel to the primary system and comprises redundant element e.g. chain wheel attached to the car. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a safety system comprising a transport system for moving a rail mounted car (2) a method for operating a fairground ride (3) a method for recovering a car in a fairground ride.
