Abstract
A backshell for an electrical connector gives the electrical connector protection and firmness enables it to be inserted in to an electrical device in a particular orientation.A portion of the cable and the connector resides inside the backshell. The cable is forced into a right angle turn in the interior of the backshell. The backshell of this invention connected to the cable and housing the connector provides an assembly with minimum amount of clearance space.
