A steering system for a multi-mode steering vehicle wherein the front and rear wheel pairs are mechanically interconnected to one another for synchronous turning movement from 0.degree. through 90.degree., and the front and rear wheel pairs being electronically coupled together to enable a predetermined synchronous turning (tracking) of the rear wheels in relation to turning movement of the front wheels.
