Abstract
A thermoplastic molding composition characterized by its optical brightness and good weathering resistance is disclosed. The composition contains a poly(ester) carbonate an optical brightener conforming to ##STR00001## where R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 independently denote H, alkyl, aryl, heteroaryl or halogen, or ##STR00002## where R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, R.sup.6 and R.sup.7 mutually independently stand for H, alkyl, aryl, heteroaryl, halogen or a cyano group.
