Abstract
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasive article having an especially high porosity.SOLUTION: An abrasive article has a bond polishing body. The bond polishing body comprises polishing grains containing a binding material containing a vitrified material, a super-abrasive grain material of a first kind having a first central grain diameter and a super-abrasive grain material of a second kind having a second central particle diameter less than the first central particle diameter. The bond polishing body has a porosity of at least 50 vol.% of the whole volume thereof. The binding material contains a super-abrasive grain material of the first kind of a first quantity, and a super-abrasive grain material of the second kind of a second quantity.
