Abstract
The invention relates to knitting manufacture. The proposed method of manufacturing the proeminent part of round-knitted article (for instance the heel of socks or stockings) presupposes the use of a round-knitting machine, that can perfom a reserve rotation, the supplying of yarn into the machine being implemented from several mechanisms of supplying that also take part in forming the prominent part by means of a reverse motion at that while every course in one direction during the reverse motion) there takes place the forming of shortened rows of texture from thread of yarn from different supplies in the succession that will be opposite to the one in which the shortened rows are formed during the previous and subsequent opposite courses. At every consecutive reverse course the yarn theads of different supplies form the rocos, that gradually are reduced in the first part of the prominent part's construction and are increased in the second part, at that the points of reversing the rows that are formed from different yarn threads on one side of the section are arranged in the succession that is opposite to the sequence in which these same points are arranged on the opposite side of the prominent section. This invention also relates to a round-knitted article with prominent part, in this prominent section of the article we can observe a distinct alternation of the shortened rows of the group, that are formed as the result of consecutive supplies of yarn thread and the rows of the identical group of rows that are formed from the same supplies of yarn thread but in a reversed succesion. All of the shortened rows are formed from one side of the prominent section and all of them have a gradually decreasing length in the first part of the prominent part's construction and gradually increasing length in the second part of the prominent part's construction. The sectors where the direction of whose forming changes to the opposite that are formed of tosses and/or touble nooses for the 2 halves of the prominent part are stationed symmetrically with relation to the symmetry axis of the mentioned sector.
