Abstract
Polymer bound hindered amine light stabilizers are prepared by reacting hindered amine light stabilizers containing reactive hydrazide functionalities with anhydride containing polymers or copolymers. The reactions may be carried out in an inert solvent or in a melt blending step. The polymer bound hindered amine light stabilizers are useful alone or may also be used to stabilize other polymers, copolymers or polymers blends against the deleterious effects of heat and/or light.
