wherein 0≦x≦1.According to the process of the present invention, it is possible to obtain an aluminum-titanate-based sintered body in which inherent properties of an aluminum titanate, i.e., a low coefficient of thermal expansion and high corrosion resistance are maintained, the mechanical strength thereof is improved, and which can be stably used even under high temperature conditions.
