Abstract

The invention relates to a method for producing ceramic parts having a defined porosity by means of sintering using microwaves, substances to be sintered being contained in a receptacle. The inventive method is characterised in that the microwaves apply energy for sintering using electromagnetic waves into substances to be sintered, said electromagnetic waves having a vacuum wavelength range of between 5 cm and 20 cm in the multimode and an electromagnetic power of up to one kilowatt, and in that, the receptacle is produced not only by primary materials, but also by a secondary material consisting of a mixture of non-metallic paramagnetic, ferromagnetic, antiferromagnetic, or ferroelectric materials and refractory, microwave-transparent materials.
