Abstract
A generation method of Electronic Program Guide (EPG) menu of television and a TV set. Said method includes the steps of: a. receiving a television signal of a currently watched channel by a main tuner, and receiving a television signal of a browsed channel by an auxiliary tuner; b. generating an EPG menu based on said television signal of the browsed channel and said television signal of the currently watched channel, wherein said EPG menu includes program images of said currently watched channel and program images of said browsed channel. By the technology scheme provided in the present invention, when browsing channels, a user can enjoy the program images of the currently watched channel and acquire program information of the currently watched channel while the user can also enjoy the program images of the browsed channel and acquire program information of the browsed channel, thus it is possible to provide the user with an EPG menu which has more abundant information content and is more easy to use, improve pointing property of EPG, and convenience operation and selection of the user.
