Abstract
Provided is an organic silicone microparticle that can sufficiently fulfill the high requirements of actual usage situations in recent years, such as further improvements in thermal discoloration resistance and optical properties, such as total light transmittance and haze, for resin compositions; further improvements in usability (spreadability upon application) and feel (stickiness, roughness, and lastingness) for cosmetics; and increased fluidity retention for developing toner. Also provided is a method for manufacturing the provided organic silicone microparticle and a cosmetic, resin composition, and developing toner containing said organic silicone microparticle. The surface of the provided organic silicone microparticle, which overall is sphere-shaped, has a plurality of irregularly-shaped faces (21) and a net-like convex area (31) that surrounds the irregularly-shaped faces (21). The organic silicone microparticle fulfills the following conditions: a) the mean diameter (L1) thereof is between 0.1 and 20 μm; and (b) the number of irregular faces (21) per organic silicon microparticle is at least 20.
