Abstract
A filling station for filling an envelope is configured to receive a filling material (122) and an envelope (126, 128). The filling station comprises a filling region (102) with at least one filling aid (100), an envelope feed (104) that is configured to receive an envelope (128) and to hold the envelope at least partly at a position outside of the filling region, and a conveying system (110) that is configured to move the envelope (128) that lies in the envelope feed to the filling aid (100). The envelope feed (104) is configured to receive another envelope while the previous envelope (128) is moved from the envelope feed (104) to the filling aid (100) and/or while the previous envelope (128) is filled. The conveying system (110) is configured to move the other envelope out of the envelope feed to the filling aid (100) after the previous envelope (128) is completely filled and before the filled envelope (128) is completely removed from the filling station.
