Abstract
In this sliding bearing, which is provided with a resin coating layer (2) at the surface of a bearing alloy layer (1) layered at a steel back metal layer, a PAI that degrades with difficulty at high temperatures is used as the main component as the resin binder of the resin coating layer (2), adjustment particles (3) are included in the resin binder, and as a result, the compression strength of the resin coating layer is increased, and indentations of the resin coating layer (2) resulting from a shaft are prevented. Meanwhile, a lamellar solid lubricant (4) is included in the resin binder, and thus sliding characteristics are improved. Also, delamination due to cracks is prevented by the effect of adjusting the orientation of the solid lubricant and the damming effect of the adjustment particles (3), and thus superior seize resistance is provided even in an engine that frequently repeats starting and stopping.
