Abstract
The present invention relates to a high-strength bead wire and a method for making it. The method of manufacturing a high strength bead wire comprises: a step of preparing a wire rod comprising 0.86 to 1.02% by weight of carbon; a film application step of applying a 5 to 10 g / m2 phosphate film on the surface of the wire rod; and a drawing step of drawing the machine wire coated with the phosphate film. In said method, the wire rod is drawn in the drawing step by a drawing apparatus, which comprises a drawing die capable of drawing the wire rod and a pressure die disposed in front of the drawing die and adapted to apply a pressure on the machine wire; the pressure die is formed to have a diameter of 1.05 to 1.2 times the diameter of the wire drawing die; and the high strength bead wire comprises a wire rod comprising 0.86 to 1.02% by weight of carbon and a phosphate film of 5 to 10 g / m 2 applied to the surface of the wire rod, and is manufactured by the manufacturing process.
