[Solution] This backpack 1 comprises: a box-shaped compartment part 3 having a first and second main surface opposite to each other and a three-sided surface whereby three continuous edges of the first main surface and three edges of the second main surface opposite thereto are respectively connected to each other; and a back surface base 5 which can be attached to and detached from the compartment part 3 and has a plate shape comprising a coupling surface which faces the first main surface when coupled with the compartment part 3 and a back contact surface which is on the opposite side from the coupling surface, the back surface base 5 having a pair of shoulder straps (51a, 51b) which span from the upper part of the back contact surface to the lower part thereof. A protrusion part 6 is disposed on one of the first main surface or coupling surface, and an insertion hole 54 with a structure matching the protrusion part 6 is disposed on a position on the other of the first main surface or coupling surface corresponding to the protrusion part 6. The compartment part 3 and the back surface base 5 can be freely attached to and detached from each other by placing the protrusion part 6 into the insertion hole 54 and separating the protrusion part 6 from the insertion hole 54.
