Abstract

Provided is a method for removing scale from turbine blades in a geothermal power generation system. The present method for removing scale from turbine blades is characterized in that an alkaline solution and a chelating solution are injected into geothermal steam that flows into a turbine during power generation, and geothermal scale formed on and adhered to turbine blades is removed by the injected solutions. The present removal method has improved scale removal effectiveness over conventional methods and makes it possible to remove, in a short amount of time, scale adhering to geothermal turbine blades. The present invention also makes it possible to provide a method for geothermal power generation in which scale is prevented from adhering to turbine blades, and a geothermal power generation system capable of operating continuously without performing cleaning in which a turbine is opened, even when geothermal steam containing 0.1 ppm or more of SiO2 and/or Cl is introduced into the turbine.
