Abstract
An articulated structure (1) comprises a central frame (2a) and at least three satellite frames (2b) surrounding the central frame (2a). The central frame (2a) and the satellite frames (2b) extend in a common main plane and each of the satellite frames (2b) is coupled to the central frame (2a) by a pair of couplings (6, 7). A first coupling (6) of the pair of couplings (6, 7) comprises a first support (8, 16, 19) that is mounted to the central frame (2a) through a first pivot (9, 18) and to the satellite frame (2b) through a second pivot (10). At least one of the first and second pivots has a single pivot point, such as a ball joint, and the other one of the first and second pivots has at least one pivot axis. A second coupling (7) of the pair of couplings (6, 7) comprises a second support (11, 17, 20) that is mounted to the central frame (2a) through a third pivot (12, 21) and to the satellite frame (2b) through a fourth pivot (13). At least one of the third and fourth pivots has a single pivot point, such as a ball joint, and the other one of the third and fourth pivots has at least one pivot axis. Hence, an imaginary axis of rotation (IA1, IA2 ) through the pivot point of one of the first and second pivot and the pivot point of one of the third and fourth pivot is formed.
