Top Prosecutor Nomination/Selection Process
Top Patent Prosecutor The Top Patent Prosecutor selection process is designed to identify patent prosecutors who have achieved a reputation among their peers for high quality work product and counseling skills in patent application preparation and prosecution. The nominations were sorted into various geographical regions and general technology categories.

The Process
Part One
Direct Nominations:
Patent Buddy launched a campaign on its website inviting patent prosecutors to nominate peers they believe deserved this recognition.
The Search: Patent Buddy contacted various Direct Nominees and other seasoned patent prosecutors to procure their nominations.
Part Two
Validating the Nominees:
The candidates were sorted by geographical and technological areas. From each area, the top five nominees based on length of time of registration in each area were contacted and asked to be part of the review panel for that area. At least two people in each area served on the panel, reviewing and providing feedback on the nominees. All feedback was compiled and the final list of nominees was prepared.
Part Three
Pre-Publication:
Nominees were notified and given to opportunity to accept the nomination, confirm technology area, and to provide a photo and bio.
