Description
Keith Ross & Associates, Inc. is looking for a Senior In-House Patent Attorney in the Chemical/Mechanical arts area for a client located in the Northeast region of the United States.
The attorney will work in a dynamic and innovative work environment reporting to the Chief patent Counsel, and will have management responsibility for planning and provision of intellectual property legal services supporting the company’s business units, including leadership/management as needed in areas of litigation, licensing, strategy and major contract transactions.
The position will manage, and provide training in comprehensive intellectual property legal services in support of acquisition and protection of intellectual property rights; including patent rights and trade secret rights, trademarks, negotiation and drafting of technology transfer agreements such as licenses, joint research and development and alliance agreements, provide expert support of merger, acquisition and divestiture transactions, and expert advice regarding management of intellectual property claims and litigation.
Requirments
The ideal candidate should have at least 15 years of experience to include patent drafting and prosecution, patent/Intellectual Property litigation, licensing/agreement work; and management of Intellectual Property/patent professionals; an educational background with a technical degree discipline including, Juris Doctorate degree, and registration to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Competitive compensation is offered including a base salary of no less than $175k, a year end bonus target of 20%, possible sign-on bonus up to $15k, along with excellent benefits that include company sponsored medical/dental/vision benefits, stock options 401(k) with company match, paid vacation/sick time /holidays, continuing education, and relocation assistance.
