Senior Patent Counsel

Leading technology company is currently seeking a talented individual to become part of the Patent Legal team. Seeking an experienced attorney to join the management team of a very large in-house patent department. Key responsibilities will include oversight of patent prosecution, working with the Chief Patent Counsel to develop department wide policies and procedures, and executing various other special projects associated with management of the Patent Department as necessary. Must have a significant amount of experience as a practicing patent attorney. Must be an active and registered member of the USPTO. Proven project management experience, and strong written and oral communication skills. Previous experience supervising attorneys preferred. Top academic credentials are required. The successful candidate will have strong prosecution skills and previous experience working in an in-house and in a large law firm environment. Multiple years working in the telecommunications industry coupled with a technical undergraduate degree is a must. Preference will be given to candidates with an Electrical Engineering or Computer Science degree.
