IP Counsel – Chemical, Material Science

This world class corporation is looking for an IP Counsel with a chemical/chemical engineering/materials background to provide legal support to, and manage IP for an assigned business unit. You will provide legal support and manage IP for an assigned business segment and work closely with the group as a member of an IP management team. You will guide and support activities within the segment in all IP legal and business matters including: working with the technical and business managers to identify and protect the company's IP positions; assessing competitive activities and setting IP strategy; preparing opinions, agreements, and licenses; addressing all client counseling IP matters and related issues; managing and/or handling all preparation and prosecution of patent applications on a worldwide basis; litigation support; and managing outside counsel and all IP budget matters for assigned business segments. Looking for someone skilled in IP legal matters, high energy, extremely motivated, proactive, outgoing, organized, creative, involved, capable of multi-tasking, open to a rapidly changing and fast moving environment, and capable of providing business input as well as legal advice.
